Hian Nio has a boyfriend, Kian Bie, who works for Bian Hong. But since Bian Hong, a widower, has feelings for Hian Nio, he fires Kian Bie in order to achieve his desire. Married to a man of wealth like Bian Hong does not make Han Nio happy, so she decides to run away while leaving her child, Gin Nio, behind.
