The region is thus threatened with acute water shortages. The consequences will be devastating: social and economic tensions on the ground are already pre-programmed. Yadykar Ibraimov's breathtaking nature footage shows the work of the scientists who document the melting process of the glacier, which they can only climb on foot. The director also gives a historical overview of research activities that already existed at the beginning of the 20th century.
